Pottery on the Wheel

This class is geared towards beginners, all the way through advanced wheel throwers!  All levels welcome. Come learn wheel basics & glaze techniques, and join in the fun!

Guided Open Studio (Pottery)

Opportunity for students to have more time in the studio to work on class projects outside of normal class times. Students are required to have their own projects to work on - this is not an instructor led class but there will be an instructor there to answer questions, provide instruction when students need help figuring out how to fix a problem, and to help students reach their artistic goals utilizing the instructor's capabilities and techniques/methods.

 

Instructor will be Allie Benoit who specializes in handbuilding, slipcasting, mold making, and digital fabrication, but can also help with wheel throwing questions.

Let's Quilt Holiday Table Runners

It's time to decorate for the upcoming holidays! In this class we will make a Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Winter/Christmas/Hanukkah/

Kwanzaa table runner. 

You will need a yard of holiday fabric for each project with matching thread and your own sewing machine.

Acrylic Painting - Beginner to Intermediate

This class begins with a supply lesson, a value study lesson, and a color mixing lesson. Beginner painters will work on a simple landscape painting along with the instructor.

Intermediate to Advanced painters will work from a photo of their choosing. Students are advised to wait to purchase supplies until after the first class day's supply lesson.

Drawing Still Life

This theoretical and practical course will help artists and students improve or develop their skills in still life themes as drawing is the first and basic step previous to painting. We will review materials and techniques, theory and basic principles.

Concept Art - Animals and Creatures

Learn how to draw and develop a variety of characters, from cute cartoon animals to fearsome fantastical beasts. Explore different areas of concept art by designing accessories, props, backgrounds and more with the characters you create in this class. You can repeat this class again with fresh material each time.

Painter's Guided Open Studio

If you are just beginning, or getting back to painting, come join us in a fun studio atmosphere class. You will work at your own pace and paint what you want. The instructor will be there to guide you and answer questions. Open to all skill levels, beginner to advanced, working in any medium you wish. Bring your own supplies. (if using oil paints, please use odorless products.) 

Students to bring their own supplies to paint in the medium of their choice. Call with any questions.

Manga & Comics Character Drawing

Candle Making Studio

Come join us! This class is perfect for anyone from beginners, crafters, or small business to learn candle making. We will break down the basics of candle making, safety, and care.

We will cover how to make container candles, taper candles, standalone candles, and wax melts.

Paint Like Bob Ross

Complete a Bob Ross landscape painting in just one class…even if you have never painted before!  That’s the magic of the techniques used by Bob Ross in his popular TV series, the Joy of Painting ®.  Bob Ross Certified Instructor Jeremy Rogers walks you through step by step how to paint a beautiful Ross landscape, complete with "happy trees"! This is a light-hearted painting class totally focused on creating beauty and having fun! (Only Bob Ross supplies are used to give you an authentic experience.)

Please bring a roll of paper towels, small pkg of baby wipes and a cardboard box to carry your piece of art home with you—the paint will still be wet! The box needs to be big enough to hold a 12”x16” canvas.

Glaze Workshop

$75.00

Students must bring their own work ready to be glazed (must be bisque fired). Students will learn the studio's method and rules for glazing their work to get the best results possible. Students will learn various application method techniques such as dipping, brush on, etc. Students are encouraged to bring in reference images if they have a specific idea in mind.

Students will also learn the proper way to mix glazes prior to use and learn how to troubleshoot any application issues that may arise. Students will have four hours to spend on glazing.

Dino Day - Drawing Workshop

Learn how to draw a variety of dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures in this one-day workshop. Follow along with easy to understand, step-by step drawing tutorials and build solid foundations in understanding form.

This is both an artistic and educational day dedicated to our favorite dinos. Learn more about your favorite dinosaurs all while bringing them to life on paper!
