Winter Classes
January 12 - Febraury 21
Learn how to draw and develop a variety of characters, from cute cartoon animals to fearsome fantastical beasts. Explore different area of concept art by designing accessories, props, backgrounds and more with the characters you create in this class. You can repeat this class again with fresh material each time.

Ages 8 - 14
Have fun designing characters inspired from manga, comics, anime, and cartoons. Build your
illustration skills while drawing anatomy, character poses, and clothing. Examples and inspirations
change for each session. Please bring a sketchbook and a pencil (digital drawing devices are also welcome).
Class can be repeated multiple times.
Supply List: Sketchbook (8x10 inches or larger), pencil, and eraser.
6 weeks. This class can be taken repetitively, as subject matter changes each time.

Learn all about the exciting history of comics while creating your very own! We will start back in time from square one and discuss the origins of the medium, working our way up to the wide variety of comics as we know them in the modern age. Students will leave this class with plentiful knowledge and passion for comics as well as several of their own creations! We will also learn about character creation and storyboarding.

These one on one 30 minute lessons provide an introduction to the PIANO OR GUITAR with an emphasis on balancing harmony and melody, major and minor chords, learning the keyboard, songs, practice, and performance. Learn about comics from their beginning to modern era and develop your very own inspired by different time periods and art styles. You'll learn to work within various layouts and genres while bringing your unique stories and artistic voice to life in this one-day workshop!

In this one-day workshop, you will create at least one character design using the very same methods professional designer use to create their characters! Students will learn about the animation pipeline as it pertains to concept artists and character designers, all while practicing their techniques yourself. Level up your character designs no matter your current skill level - great for all ages!

Turn your creativity into a business in just 2 hours! In this hands-on workshop, young artists will discover their unique brand, brainstorm products, learn simple pricing, and practice how to share their work with the world. By the end, each student will leave with a starter business plan, product idea, a draft price, and a mini plan to launch their creative business.
