Thank you for being here and your interest in Sewing I & II at the Art Station. A brief overview of my background. With a pencil, pen, sewing needle, or paintbrush in my hands, I was always artistic. I convey my world and myself via art. Art is therapeutic. Art is both the past and the present. 

 

I was raised in Vermont. I learned to sew from my grandma. I started making outfits for my dolls and then clothes for myself. During a semester of independent study at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, I learned how to create personalized clothing patterns. My bachelor's degree is in interior design and art history. 

 

I've worked in the design industry for more than 20 years, with a focus in boutique hotel and restaurant design and window treatment fabrication. I look forward to sharing my love of art, design and sewing and all the things you can make
