Throw an Arty Party! What is an “Arty Party”? It’s a super fun and creative way to throw your child a memorable birthday party! You choose from an array of our fun birthday party packages or design your own for a nominal fee and we handle the rest! Who can participate? Parties are available for children ages 3 and above. Party size is limited to 12 children (due to space limitations) with a minimum of 6. When can I book an “Arty Party"? You may book your party for a Friday afternoon anytime between 3pm-6pm or for Saturday between 1pm-4pm. Available party days and times are subject to change based on programming and staff availability. Please contact the Art Station to schedule your party at least 3 weeks prior to your requested date. How much is an “Arty Party"? Each party is priced between $5 to $7 per child plus a refundable deposit of $50 and room rental fee of $20 an hour with a 2 hour min/max. How can I reserve my party? Easy! Just call the Art Station at 770-514-5930 or email meryl.manfre@cobbcounty.org for more information and available dates.  Important info: Per child fee covers art instruction and supplies. Art activity will last 40-60 minutes. Deposit is refundable if the space is left as it was found. Deposit and rental fee are due upon booking your party. Per child fee will be collected day of the party. All parties must pay for a minimum of 6 children. An RSVP of the number of children attending the party must be communicated to the Art Station at least 3 days prior to the party. The party coordinator will be responsible for paying for the number of RSVPs given 3 days prior to the party. A ratio of 5 children per 1 adult must be maintained during the entire party including the art activity, so please plan accordingly. Please make sure that all decorations can be hung without putting holes in the walls The Art Station is NOT responsible for decorating or for any other portion of the party except the art activity. “Arty Party" Packages Crafty Projects (more suitable for younger children) Cost: $5 per child Princesses and Pirates: Make a swashbuckling hat or a majestic crown, as well as a sassy parrot pal. Bugs and Butterflies: Create your own oversized crawly critters, either as toys or a funny hat. Rainbow Fish: Build a sparkly fish kite, and share some scales with your friends. The Very Hungry Caterpillar: Make fun papers with your friends, then build caterpillar collages. Seasonal Fun: Create a piece of art suited to the time of year. Arty Projects (more suitable for older children) Cost: $5 per child Chinese Shadow Puppets: Create one of five different puppets and put on a shadow show. Sumi-e (Japanese Ink Wash): Paint a flowing picture—landscape or animals—in the sumi-e style of inkwash. Watercolor Water Lillies: Create your own Impressionist masterpiece in the style of Monet. Very Vincent: Make your own version of Starry Night. O’Keearhol: Learn a little bit about Georgia O’Keefe and Andy Warhol, then make a print project that incorporates both their styles. Munchli: Learn fun facts about Edvard Munch and Salvador Dali, then draw a wacky Surrealist scene that combines their styles. Klimsky: Learn about artists Gustav Klimt and Wassily Kandinsky, then create a piece of art that combines their very different styles. Create a Comic Character: Create your own comic book character and a short story for them to star in. Clay Projects (suitable for any age) Cost: $7 per child Dragons: Wings, and scales, and fire, oh my! Create a unique clay dragon to live in your room. Pieces will be available for pickup two weeks after the party date. Animal Rattles: We’ll show you how to make a clay rattle; you’ll turn it into an awesome creature. Pieces will be available for pickup two weeks after the party date. Masks: What ferocious face will you make? Create a wacky clay mask to hang on your wall. Pieces will be available for pickup two weeks after the party date. Windchimes: Create all the pieces you need to make a colorful and musical windchime. (We recommend a follow-up gathering to string the windchimes together.) Pieces will be available for pickup two weeks after the party date.
